Story
On the 26th April we are taking part in the Maldon Mud Run, arguably one of the UK’s most unusual events, consisting of several hundred runners partaking in an epic dash across the “mud plain” of the River Blackwater in Essex. With over 20000 spectators expected to attend there is plenty of opportunity to make an absolute fool of ourselves (4 people had to be rescued by boat last year after getting totally stuck as the tide came in)
Why would we willingly dive into the mud and push our limits in the Maldon Mud Race? Because this challenge is about more than just a race; it’s about coming together to support causes that truly matter.
There are a number of charities we are raising funds for including Great Ormond Street Hospital, the Daniel Wilkinson Foundation which raises money for research into Sudden Cardiac Death, as every week in the UK 12 people under 35, die from previously undiagnosed heart conditions and Blesma a charity that supports military veterans who have lost limbs.
