I'm supporting the Kidney Care UK Young Adult Kidney Group.

Activities such as their annual residential weekend and peer support programme are so valuable to those who are a part of the group. To be able to continue this support for the members, we need your support.

All funds raised will be used to directly support the YAKG’s activities, however if we raise more funds than we need in any given period, any surplus will be used for Kidney Care UK’s wider work to ensure that no-one faces kidney disease alone. Please note that contributing is entirely optional and there is no obligation to do so.

I have been very lucky this year to be able to volunteer my time in helping to prepare for the young adult weekend and even better to attend the weekend as a young adult volunteer buddy.

I have worked with people with kidney disease as a nurse for 30 years now. In my current role as a nurse I have been able to utilise different support networks that Kidney Care UK have to offer people I care for. They are a wonderful charity to support.

When a colleague told me about the young adult weekend I knew I had to part of it. Please help me raise awareness about kidney disease and money to support such a valuable experience for these young adults
