We are taking part in this 100ft abseil off Meldon Viaduct, nr Okehampton on 14th April 2024 in memory of our wonderful son, Tom, who died by suicide in 2017, following years of battling his mental health and neurodiverse demons.

Karen says: This is completely scary, way out of my comfort zone, but I wanted to do something amazing this year for a mental health charity. When I signed up, Mike said, that's easy, so he is going to show us how to do it..!

Also taking part are our sister-in-law Lou and our friend Emma and 28 other willing volunteers.

Pete's Dragons do some amazing work for families bereaved by suicide in Devon, so although we weren't geographically located to benefit, they provide some great work for local families.

Tom would've loved to see us do this, he would definitely have taken part himself, he loved climbing, often where he wasnt supposed to, and got into many scrapes!
