Story
I’m excited to be part of the WhyWeRun Class of 2025. But I’m also scared, I’m apprehensive and I’m happy. Why?
Because Why We Run is a 250km ultramarathon with 6900m of elevation on the coast of Pembrokeshire raising money for the mental health charity, Big Moose.
But it’s also so much more than that. When I reached out to Lewis last year to join the team as a sports psychologist, I never thought a year later I would be inspired by the community and culture that had been created to actually partake.
It’s no secret I’ve struggled with my mental health, and having access to qualified therapists when you need them has saved me on numerous occasions. 1 in 4 people will suffer with poor mental health at some point in their lives. This is why it’s so important to help charities like Big Moose make an impact.
So here I am asking you to donate to a vital cause, however little or however much you can. Together we can make a difference.
