Story
I’m joining Last Night A DJ Saved My Life in Nepal to help build and launch new music production and podcast studios for the Girls’ Empowerment Programme in Devchuli.
Music has given me an incredible career - from producing dance music shows at BBC Radio 1 and award winning podcasts, to making & releasing music and DJing internationally - and this feels like an opportunity to put that experience to use somewhere it can have a lasting impact.
Over the last few months I’ve been helping design the studios and plan the equipment, including four music production workstations and a dedicated podcast and filming studio. In Nepal, I’ll help get everything up and running and work with the girls and local team on music production, recording and podcasting.
But the real aim is much bigger than the trip itself.
We want to leave behind the tools, skills and confidence for the girls to create their own music, tell their own stories and then pass those skills on to others - creating a ripple effect that can continue for years.
Talent is everywhere. Access isn’t.
Your donation will help us create something tangible that stays in Nepal and continues opening doors long after we’ve gone home.
If you can support the project, I’d be incredibly grateful.
