Get Equipped: Building Hope Through Music

Get Equipped uses the power of music to create opportunities for children and young people, providing access to DJing, music production, equipment, education and creative mentorship.

Music has the power to connect, inspire and transform.

But for many of the children and young people we support, access to music equipment and creative education simply isn't available.

That's where Get Equipped comes in.

Last Night A DJ Saved My Life works with trusted grassroots organisations and community partners in the UK and around the world to provide DJ and music production equipment, workshops, training and mentorship to young people who might otherwise never have the opportunity to experience them.

And it's about far more than learning how to DJ.

For young people who may have experienced poverty, displacement, life on the streets, trauma, exclusion or barriers to traditional education, music can offer another way in.

A place to create.

A way to express themselves.

A chance to discover something they're good at.

And a community in which they feel valued.

Through Get Equipped, we aim to:

🎧 Provide access to DJing, music production and creative education.

💫 Build confidence, self-esteem and new skills.

❤️ Create safe spaces for self-expression, connection and creativity.

🎵 Introduce young people to positive role models and mentors from the music community.

🌍 Improve access to equipment and resources so more young people can participate.

🚀 Create opportunities for young people to discover and develop their talent.

Most importantly, we want the impact to continue long after a workshop or visit has finished.

That's why we work with partners on the ground, leaving equipment, developing skills and helping create sustainable programmes that can continue reaching more children and young people.

YOUR SUPPORT MAKES THIS POSSIBLE.

Every donation helps us get equipment, education and creative opportunities into the hands of young people who need them.

And whether you're donating, DJing, dancing, taking on a challenge or creating your own fundraiser, you're helping us continue to Build Hope Through Music.

We never take a donation for granted, no matter how big or small.

Thank you for being part of it.

Big Love and Smiles,

Team LNADJ x
