Story
This year, I am embarking on a big journey by participating in the WhyWeRun 2025 event, an endurance challenge that spans an incredible 250 kilometers over five days. This isn't just a personal journey; it's a collective effort with fellow runners, all united for a cause that resonates deeply within me: mental health awareness and support through the charity Bigmoose.
Bigmoose is dedicated to providing free mental healthcare and therapy to those in need. All it takes is the courage to ask for help. Mental health has been a part of my life journey, offering me help during different phases of my life. Unfortunately, many individuals face barriers—be it social stigma, financial constraints, or simply a lack of confidence—that prevent them from seeking the help they deserve. I believe that everyone should have access to mental healthcare when they need it most.
As I prepare to start these 250km's in September 2025, I am fueled by the hope that together we can make a difference. We are the WhyWeRun Class of 2025—a group of passionate individuals running not just for ourselves but for something much greater than our own aspirations. Our shared goal is not only to complete this distance but also to raise crucial funds for Bigmoose's Project 15 initiative.
I invite you to join me on this journey. Your support can help us reach our target of £500, enabling more people to access vital mental health services without hesitation or fear. Together, we can create a world where mental healthcare is available to all who seek it.
