Robin Hood Half Marathon 2026 · 27 September 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

Running the Robin Hood Half to support people seeking sanctuary in Nottingham and Notts. Every mile helps Nottingham Refugee Forum provide welcome, safety and hope for individuals and families seeking safety.

Story

As a teacher based in central Nottingham, I work with students from refugee backgrounds and am hugely empathetic to the challenges they face, particularly at a time when this country does not always feel like a welcoming and safe place to be for people seeking asylum.

Until signing myself up for this race, the furthest I had run was 5km. I want to take on this challenge to run the Robin Hood Half Marathon to support this incredible charity that makes meaningful change to the lives of so many.

"Nottingham & Nottinghamshire Refugee Forum has supported refugees and people seeking asylum since 2000. We provide practical advice, support and a community for people who have fled, war, violence and persecution who are now rebuilding their lives in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Every pound you raise helps us continue that work."

Race day Sunday 27 September 2026, Nottingham.
