10 years on, but it feels like 10 minutes. Running was something mummy absolutely adored - and something that I have turned to over the past 10 years when times have hit there hardest. On those days, I put on my trainers and just go.

Running has never come easy to me, but it has been my constant reminder that I am always with my mum. When I run it is when I feel closest to her. Even on my hardest runs when I want to stop, what keeps me going is knowing that my mum would do anything to run...just one last time.

So I run for her, but in doing so I am reminded of my own strength and resilience to push past and keep moving forward. Running, for me, is a gift that my mum gave me.

My greatest challenge started on January 15th 2015 and I am hoping that my mums ferocious energy and 10 years navigating life without her will fuel me for this marathon.
