Campaign by Pete's Dragons (RCN 1187394)
Embark on an unforgettable adventure with Pete's Dragons as we present the Dragons Drop Abseil from the iconic Meldon Viaduct on Sunday 14th April 2024.

Story

I will be abseiling from the Meldon Viaduct beckons. A 110ft high Viaduct on the Northern edge of Dartmoor. The idea of being suspended over 30m off the ground is intimidating but also an exciting and inspiring challenge.

Pete's Dragons is a charity with one mission to help and support those who have been affected by suicide. They provide a vital specialist service to all who ask for it in the South West and they ask for nothing in return.

Pete's Dragons have been huge in my life. After my childhood best friend, Jonny, took his life in the summer of 2021, my world was tipped on its head. I was just about to enter my second year at the University of Plymouth, 300 miles away from home, and the thought of taking on university along with everything going on was daunting, to say the least. I found Pete's Dragons through the University and from then on they provided free regular counseling services that gave me a touchstone and point to explore and develop a relationship with the loss.

Suicide is devasting to families, friends, and communities. Pete's Dragons help people rebuild and grow.

Thank you Pete's dragons.

Can you donate the cost of a coffee to help those who need it?

Thank you for reading this and I would be so appreciative of anything you might be able to donate.
