Story
On Sunday 14th December 2025, I'll be joining friends and family from the Nepalese Doctors Association (NDA) to take part in the 10K run at Regents Park in support of Cancer Care Nepal.
Cervical cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths among women in Nepal, even though it is largely preventable. Over 98% of cases are linked to high-risk Human Papillomavirus (hrHPV), which can be detected early through screening. Despite progress, only 11% of women in Nepal are currently screened and the available HPV vaccine doesn’t cover all the virus strains found in the country.
We aim to raise funds for a vital study that will identify the specific HPV types affecting Nepali women. This research will guide better prevention, improve screening and support the development of a more effective vaccine, helping to save lives for generations to come.
Your support means so much, every donation, no matter the size brings us one step closer to eliminating cervical cancer in Nepal and giving women access to the care they deserve!
Thank you for your support,
Shabin
