Story
On Sunday 14th December 2025, multiple family and friends from the Nepalese Doctors Association (NDA) will be taking part in the 5K/10K run round Regents Park to raise money for Cancer Care Nepal who provides care for cancer patients.
Please help eliminate cervical cancer in Nepal and support Cancer Care Nepal!
Cervical cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths among women in Nepal and we know it is largely preventable. Over 98% of cases are linked to high-risk Human Papillomavirus (hrHPV), which can be detected early through screening.
Despite progress, only 11% of women in Nepal are currently screened, and the existing HPV vaccine doesn't cover all common virus strains found in the country.
Your support through this charity run in London will help fund a study to identify the specific HPV types affecting Nepali women. This critical data will guide better prevention, improve screening, and support the shift to more effective vaccine thereby saving lives of thousands of patients for generations to come.
Run with purpose. Run to end cervical cancer in Nepal! Run to help in diagnosis and treatment of cervical cancer patients.
Many thanks,
Organisers: Dr. Dev Hamal (NDA UK Member), Dr. Arati Thapa (NDA UK Chair)
