we are on a mission to raise 15 million pounds for mental health.

Story

This September I will be taking part in Why We Run 2025, aiming to cover 5 Ultramarathons in 5 days, totalling a distance of 250km (155 miles) all in aid of The Big Moose Charity.

A unique 250km ultra running event. Not a race, but an event with a greater purpose: runners run for themselves, and for something much bigger than themselves too - a shared goal not only to complete this mammoth distance together, but also to raise crucial funds for mental health charity, bigmoose.

On a personal level, this challenge is like nothing I have taken on across my running career. Covering 250km (plus the hills!) over 5 days is a distance I’ve just about managed to do over 2 weeks of training. Running has always been a big part of my life, being where I would say my identity was founded and an activity from which I have felt many benefits to the rest of my life.

Big Moose is a charity set out to create a future where everyone has access to mental health support when they need it in the form of therapy or early intervention.

Every single referral is answered within 24 hours, which is why if you choose to donate your support will changes lives as soon as today.

Whatever amount you are able to donate will be massively appreciated and will help towards the larger sums below, and ultimately a lifeline to someone when it’s needed the most.

• £24 could be the start of someone’s journey to hope

• £100 sponsors 1 therapy session

• £250 sponsors 2.5 therapy sessions

• £500 sponsors a full course of therapy for someone struggling

Whilst my target is currently £1,500, I will be running as part of a larger community team with a bigger fundraising goal of £80,000!!

Thank you greatly for any donation you are able to make. And if you choose not to then thank you for taking the time to read this post and maybe share to a wider audience if you can.
