So, we’re doing Southampton Marathon, as well as a few other runs and events along the way!

I wasn’t sure I had another marathon in me but I want to raise money for a very good cause and the others have agreed to join me

One of our best friends’ baby boy, Rexford, has been diagnosed with Shwachman–Diamond syndrome

Shwachman-Diamond syndrome (SDS) is a rare, inherited bone marrow failure, characterized by a low number of white blood cells, poor growth due to difficulty absorbing food, and, in some cases, skeletal abnormalities.

(There’s a lot more to it, this is just simplified)

There’s not a lot we can do but thought that by doing this, we can raise money for a charity that helps families with this diagnosis as well as research into the condition

29th July - 80’s night with raffle ✔️

1st Oct - quiz night ✔️

8th October - Royal Parks Half Marathon ✔️

15th October - Great South Run ✔️

25th February - quiz night

7th April - the big one, Southampton Marathon

There will probably also be a few other smaller fundraisers too
