Story

Many thanks to all who supported the team and individual runners on Sunday 29th August.

A gruelling race with (too) many hills
but a fantastic effort all round. Most importantly
the whole team completed the course and Lea was
there to greet everyone at the finishing line, which
made it a perfect ending and all worthwhile.

Official results for Team Pound Gates were as follows:
101 Paul Nedd 1:34.26
131 Rob Thacker 1:38.52
532 Terry Pryke 2:02.18
703 Dave Collins 2:23.30
722 Del Sharman 2:30.09
736 Keri Morgans 2:35.31
747 Matt Holmes 2:43.06
748 Laura Alcock 2:43.06
767 Shirley Mills 3:15.10

The weather was kind on the day albeit a little too windy in the rural areas, but the temperature was perfect and the rain held off. Lots of other Pound Gates employees and their families came out to support us and that did help spur on the runners. There were several shouts from members of the public 'Come on Pound Gates' who no doubt had read the East Anglian Daily Times article on Saturday 28th August.

Needless to say the lift was more extensively used in our offices on Tuesday morning! A few runners are even planning to continue running to keep fit.

At this time the grand total for Lea and Advance stands at £4,541 (91%) but with gift aid the target of £5,000 has been exceeded!

Thank you again and feel free to browse some of the action photos from the day on our JustGiving page and donate if you have not done so already!  The website is www.justgiving.com/poundgatesgroup and will be open for two more weeks.
