We are fighting to make a world where diabetes does no harm

Story

Dear All,

Well we did it. The trip was absolutely amazing and so challenging. We trekked for five days in total and we were walking like John Wayne by the time we reached Macchu Picchu.

Thank you all for the donations you all gave to Diabetes UK to make this trip possible. I learnt so much through the experience and I will never forget it. I have raised money for Diabetes UK a charity that I am determined to help, centred around a health condition which affects members of my close family. There are over two million people in the UK who have been diagnosed with Diabetes. The number of people diagnosed with diabetes in England has increased by approximately 70,000 in the past year according to Diabetes UK. This webpage does not close for a few months so if you have not donated yet, any funds would be greatly appreciated.

Lena is raising money for Cancer Research another charity that needs as much help as possible to raise funds to continue with its ground breaking research. If you would like to visit her page, please go to:

http://www.justgiving.com/lenaandsiantrektheinca

I will be in touch with photos and funny stories about the trek soon.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Diabetes UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.

Sian
