Story
We are the children and families of Y1 Thornhill Primary - Moon and Venus.
We are Luna Dawn
Luna for Moon, Dawn for the morning star that Venus is; the two brightest objects in the night sky.
We are running for the Thornhill Foundation / School Association to raise money and awareness to the amazing Friday afternoon enrichment programme at Thornhill school.
Enrichment Friday is a critical part of our curriculum. It provides a myriad of enrichment activities which run from Nursery to Year 6.
Enrichment gives all children the same opportunities to develop a large variety of essential skills beyond the classroom, partnering with organisations, businesses, universities, parents and members of our local community.
Through Enrichment Fridays - the children have been able to learn and experience a wide range of activities that broaden, enhance and deepen their inquisitive minds.
Some activities includes plumbing, electronics, karate, residential home visits, forestry, massage workshops, drama, kayaking, debating.. come and see this video of how the kids benefit from these.
