'Abigail' our mascot bear will run alongside our team of 25 runners in the London Landmarks Half on Sunday 3rd April 2022

Story

Baby George Arthur Townsend, who was born in the George Eliot Hospital, Nuneaton, on November 12, 2021, alongside his beautiful twin sister Emilie May Townsend. The twins were born very prematurely and were immediately transferred to the Neonatal unit at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire (UHCW) in Coventry.

George sadly passed away on December 3rd, as he turned 3 weeks old. He is much loved and will always be remembered by us as being a true fighter.

We would love to hopefully raise enough money to donate a cold cot (or two) in memory of George to help and give bereaved families the chance to say their goodbyes. To help a charity that helped us in our darkest time that no parents should ever have to face.

A baby loss charity providing support for bereaved families and bereavement training for healthcare professionals. One of our greatest contributions has been the creation and funding of the Abi cooling cot which allows parents valuable time to spend with their baby before saying goodbye.
