As part of the University of Manchester's commitment to providing meaningful volunteering opportunities and promoting social responsibility overseas, Team Rwanda is our international volunteering project exclusively for students at the University.

Azizi Life is a social enterprise based in Rwanda. Azizi Life runs a number of community projects including supporting local artisans to build more sustainable practices and reach wider markets, and supporting adult literacy in the local community.

It costs approximately £16 to teach someone to read and write. In 2023, Azizi Life taught 1200 students with the aim for 2024 being over 2,000 with over 1,000 people signed up for the first 6month course.
