Why we hear you ask?

To raise awareness and vital funds for APS Support UK.

12 months ago none of us had heard of the blood clotting condition AntiPhospholipid-Syndrome (APS) which is estimated to affect 1 in 2000 people. However, following two miscarriages our best friend/sister/wife/mother Lucy was diagnosed with the chronic illness, she was 5 weeks pregnant at the time.

With daily injections and lots of medications Lucy's chances of being able to carry the baby to a viable birth was 20%, ever a fighter she took each day at a time and prayed for a miracle - against the odds, Max arrived safely in April.

Lucy has APS for life, there's a long road to manage and treat the illness. APS is a significantly under-recognised and under-diagnosed condition, APS Support UK is determined to fund much needed research, raise awareness of in the medical community and offer support to anyone suffering with the condition.

Thank you for your donations, they will help us to learn more about the causes, effects and treatments for APS.
