Thank you for taking the time to read about our team and support our run to support King Edward's Ward, Royal Berkshire Cancer Centre - Sunday 23rd March 2025. This is a team of friends, family and colleagues who have either taken on this challenge from scratch or literally dusted off trainers to train and run the half marathon. And they are doing all this literally for me and for my benefit as I can't quite manage to run this far at the moment so they are doing the hard work!

Raising for this local cancer charity is a cause very close to my heart as 3 years ago I was diagnosed with metastatic (incurable) breast cancer. This means that I am on treatment forever. All the staff at the RBCC and King Edward's Ward have been tireless to support me and my family. They really do everything they can to help me live my life the way I want to live it, to have energy to travel, work, be the mum, wife, friend that I still want to be.

The money you all raise will go to helping enhance patient services - directly going to help build services to help support patients and their families.

Good luck to the incredible team who are running - I am so grateful and humbled by your energy and commitment.
