The pandemic is impacting communities everywhere and our small home town Batticaloa is not an exception. It's never been more urgent to support our community in these unprecedented times. Where COVID cases have risen dramatically, and hospitals are overwhelmed. Since the start of COVID outbreak BUDS UK have spent 50,079,00.00 Sri Lankan rupees in COVID related expenses such as dry food, medical equipment, donation to Home for Elders and personal protection equipment. These unexpected expenses along with not being able to have fund raising events have affected the fund availability to support the ongoing projects they normally support.
