From 2nd-11th October 2026, I am doing a climb of Mt Kilimanjaro (19,431ft), which I want to complete before I get too old and creaky, to raise money for the two causes set out below. I am entirely SELF-FUNDED for this trip and the climb, so that 100% of anything you may donate goes to the charities. These are: The Chaplaincy Service, providing spiritual support to patients of the NHS Hospitals in Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch, for which my wife, Jane, serves as a Chaplaincy Volunteer; and Bournemouth Town Pastors, Christians who I am a volunteer with, providing independent patrols of the night-time economy, to keep people safe when they become vulnerable or need help, complementing the work of police, council and door staff.
