Story
A Bunch of Tits! 💗
In October 2024, I heard the words no one ever wants to hear: “It’s breast cancer.” In that moment, everything changed — not just for me, but for my husband Dean, my best friend Zoe, and for everyone who loves me.
The year that followed was brutal: 76 hospital visits, 9 scans, 3 biopsies, 2 operations, 4 emergencies (including one ambulance ride), 5 months of chemotherapy, and 20 sessions of radiotherapy. Cancer treatment is exhausting, relentless, and utterly terrifying. People told me I was strong — but I felt the weakest I've ever felt. They said I was brave — but it didn’t feel like that.
Cancer didn’t feel like a battle; it felt like an endurance challenge . But with all my amazing friends and family at my side, I kept going — one day, one appointment, one small victory at a time.
Now, together, Zoe, Dean and I are taking on the Great North Run to raise money for Breast Cancer Now — the charity that supported me through my darkest days and continues to help thousands of others facing breast cancer.
We're running for the 1 in 7 women in the UK who will hear those life-changing words: “It’s breast cancer.”
Every donation, no matter how small, helps Breast Cancer Now continue their incredible work. Thank you for supporting us — it means the world.
