Our story
Almost 2 years ago I had the dreaded phone call to confirm my suspicions were correct that my eldest son was diagnosed with frontal lobe epilepsy. Everything in the following weeks went by in a blur with an MRI (which he bossed), appointments to trialing different medication, Charlie’s epilepsy nurse and doctor have been on the other end of the phone all the steps of the way. We’re still on the road of getting the right dose and medication fir him (it’s been a bumpy road) but there’s light at the end of the tunnel and with just a small donation it could help other children get the help and support we have been given.
This Purple Day, me and Charlie are taking part in the 26 miles in 26 days Challenge to help raise awareness and life changing funds for children and young people with epilepsy. Together we can create a future where every child with epilepsy can live seizure free.
Please make a donation to my page today. If you'd like to join me in the challenge then you can sign up here: https://www.youngepilepsy.org.uk/get-involved/challenge/26-miles-in-26-days-challenge
Purple Day on 26th of March is the International Day of Epilepsy awareness. No child should live in fear of their own body. Seizures can be frightening and they can leave children in pain, feeling confused and alone.
Nearly every hour, another child or young person in the UK is diagnosed with epilepsy.
Show your support by donating today and help stop the fear of seizures. Breakthrough treatments and day to day support can transform their lives.
