This May, Development and Alumni Relations are walking, running and cycling as far as we can to raise money to help find a cure for cancer.

John van Geest Cancer Research Centre focuses on immunotherapy — using the body’s own immune system to fight cancer where other treatments fail. It’s the next frontier in cancer research, and one of this century’s biggest breakthroughs in oncology.

JVG’s aim is to help create a world where cancer is no longer a killer. But they need our support to do this, and the COVID-19 pandemic has only made this more difficult. It has impacted research funding and stopped community supporters taking part in fundraising events. As JVG relies on donations to keep up their work, they have never needed our support more.

Each of us has set our own personal challenge and we all have our own personal stories to tell. But we all share a common goal: to help our scientists at John van Geest Cancer Research Centre find a cure for cancer.
