Raising money for Royal Cornwall Hospitals Charity
In memory of David Scott

Your support of the Critical Care Unit Fund (F2125), part of Royal Cornwall Hospitals Charity, will enable the purchase of additional equipment, resources and even staff training to enhance the very specialist care we provide on our unit.

Story

We are walking the West Higland Way in May in memory of David Scott, a wonderful father to Danny and Charlie and husband to Jo. He died in the Critical Care Unit at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in September 2025. David was a proud Scotsman, our holidays were spent hill walking in Scotland. David suffered from Primary Sclerosing Collingitis but even after his 2nd liver transplant he continued to hike up Munroes in the Highlands. When he fell ill again David received marvellous, dedicated care in the Critical Care Unit. We are incredibly grateful to all the nurses and doctors involved. But we would love to raise funds to support patients in the unit, especially with equipment that makes it more comfortable, and makes recovery more likely, for patients who are intubated.

We have 2 Just Giving pages. This one for the Critical Care Unit and another one, also in Davids’s memory for the Foundation for Liver Research:

Please give to either charity, Thank you Jo, Danny and Charlie. XXXXX
