Effective Energy is proud to support, not one, but two charities in 2025. We aim to assist Charities that are local to our office and that make a significant difference in the surrounding communities. The two charities were chosen by our dedicated staff, and although they serve different purposes, both are incredibly deserving of our fundraising efforts.

Our first charity, Rhubarb Farm, is a rural charity for individuals facing various challenges. It serves children grappling with behavioural and mental health issues, ex-offenders seeking a fresh start, ex-service personnel finding comfort from the effects of PTSD, and elderly individuals looking to connect with nature and combat feelings of isolation. The Farm employs therapeutic horticultural methods that nurture both the mind and body—a place where everyone is welcomed, valued, and given the opportunity to thrive. Our second charity, Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, provides a home-from-home for children and young adults with life-shortening conditions. They offer care, not only through medical routes, but also by helping families create magical memories with their child. Their extensive range of services includes short breaks, family and sibling support, sensory activities, music therapy, and bereavement support following the loss of a young family member. Throughout the year, Effective Energy will hold numerous activities and events for its staff to fundraise for these two wonderful charities. Several of the team will also be taking on the 'Edale Skyline Challenge' on the 7th June. They will be hiking an incredible 20 miles, taking in the best of the Peak District’s summits and racking up over 1200 meters of ascent.

We hope to reach an incredible target of £10,000 to be split equally between Rhubarb Farm and Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice. As our fundraising platform does not accommodate split funding directly, we kindly ask you to consider balancing your donations between these two deserving causes.

All donations received will be utilized at the charities' discretion in line with their development plans for the future.
