Story
On Sunday 5th October, I am taking part in the 2025 MBNA Chester Marathon to raise funds for 2 charities; Epilepsy Action and the Tongole Foundation.
My brother was diagnosed with Tonic-Clonic Epilepsy in 2024. This type of epilepsy is characterized by seizures that involve both stiffening (tonic phase) and jerking (clonic phase) of the muscles. It can be a challenging condition that requires careful medical management, lifestyle adjustments, and ongoing support.
The Tongole Foundation was founded by my boss, and his family due to the sad loss of Vitu Kalanga. In 2007, Vitu Kalanga was traveling home from football training in Kent and whilst on that journey he was involved in a collision which sadly resulted in his sudden death at the age of just 16.
