We lost our best friend Izzy very suddenly on 18 September 2020. to SUDEP. SUDEP is the Sudden Unexpected Death of someone with Epilepsy. Not many people have heard of this before, and we certainly hadn’t either. SUDEP is very rare, affecting around 1 in every 1,000 adults with epilepsy each year. No one knows the exact cause and there may be no single explanation. We will be taking part in the 2021 Tough Mudder in hopes of raising as much money as possible to go to Epilepsy Action who are dedicated to raising awareness of the epilepsy risks, and in loving memory of our beautiful Izzy.
