Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page in memory of my best friend Loren Stokes who peacefully lost her long and challenging fight to an extremely rare form of cancer on Thursday 6th March 2025.
Please read the story below and then when you have finished, there is a Team Members section at the end. Select my name 'Jenna Wakenshaw' (there are two to select) which will then open each charity's donation page. You will then be able to read Loren's personal blog, find out more about that charity and make your donation.

Loren's Cancer Story
Loren was diagnosed with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma in 2019. She underwent major surgery to remove a large tumour in her throat which then completely changed her life. The biggest life change for Loren was learning to talk again and learning to live with daily life adjustments to help her live.
Loren battled on year after year for six amazing years, living her best life to the full. She had multiple courses of radiotherapy, intense chemotherapy and took part in clinical trials. She really would do anything if it meant there might be an improvement to her life. She was an absolute warrior an it was heart-breaking that the cancer eventually took hold and became terminal.
Loren had the most incredible inner strength to keep fighting every day for herself, her son, her fiancé and her family & friends.
To honour her life and raise awareness of what she went through, I am raising money for two amazing charities chosen by Loren. They are both close to her heart as they specialise in rare forms of cancer like Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma.
