Welcome to our team fundraising page!

We are 2 sisters, Mel & Em. We will be donning those running shoes and tackling the Leeds 10k on 15th June 2025 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ We are not natural runners 🙈 so this will be an immense challenge both physically and mentally!

Why are we doing this? Well, the Children's Heart Surgery Fund is an incredible charity that supports children and adults born with congenital heart defects across Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire. They work alongside the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit at LGI, and are funded by generous donations from the general public and the amazing efforts of our fundraisers.

Without the care, compassion, and support they provided over the last 2 years, our lives could look a lot bleaker right now.

The time they took to sit and talk things through, the parent and family accommodation provided whilst Henry was undergoing both heart surgeries and recovery in PICU, the meal vouchers for local supermarkets, the support they have given Billy (Henrys older brother), the regular well-being check ins, emergency packs of toiletries on an unexpected admission, the life saving medical equipment... all of this makes this experience slightly more tolerable, and wouldn't have been possible without the CHSF. We can't thank them enough.

So please help us in raising vital funds for this amazing charity, so they can continue to help families throughout these extremely difficult times in the future.
