Story
In 2020 I lost three amazing people in my life. Now, four years later I'm hoping to pay tribute to them by taking on a series of three triathlons to raise money for charities that meant something to each of them. It's taken this long because since then I experienced my own struggles with my physical, mental and emotional health. Last year, when I watched the Slateman triathlon in Llanberis I told myself that when I was better I was going to do it, and here I am, doing three of them. Go big or go home as they say!
Not only will these triathlons be a physical challenge, I am also scared of open water, so the mental challenge to overcome this fear in the lake and the sea will probably be the hardest part for me.
On the 14th of April I am completing the Harlech Sprint Triathlon - a 400m pool swim, 20km bike and 5km run, in memory of Shaun and raising money for 3rd World Hope. The 9th of June is the Slateman triathlon - a 750m lake swim, 20km bike and 5.8km run, in memory of Coops and raising money for the RNLI. The grand finale is the Llandudno Standard Triathlon - a 1500km sea swim, 34.75km bike and 9.4km run, in memory of my Mum and raising money for St David's Hospice.
Please support this challenge in any way you can. To read more about each challenge and the person I am doing it for please see each page linked to this team page. To donate, you can choose the charity that is important to you, spread a donation between the three charities, or support the person (and their related charity) that means something to you. If you can't donate please share my page with your friends and family so I can reach my fundraising target and support these amazing charities that change and save lives.
Thank you xxx
