Story

This September, Ryan Packer, Alex Harvey, John Halliday (Brennan), Dave Worner, Andy Vernon and Dan Thomas will take on the London to Brighton Cycle Ride in memory of Ryan’s beautiful daughter and Alex’s niece, Thea Lily Packer, who tragically passed away in February last year, aged 2.

We’ll be cycling 60 miles (100km) from Clapham to Brighton to raise vital funds for St George’s Hospital Charity, whose Paediatric Intensive Care Unit cared for Thea and supported our family through the most devastating time of our lives.

The team at St George’s did everything they possibly could for Thea. They treated her with incredible professionalism, compassion and dignity, and surrounded our family with kindness and support when we needed it most.

If you’re able to donate — no matter the amount — it would mean a great deal to us and will help St George’s continue supporting children and families in their most difficult moments.

Thank you, truly, for your support. It means more than we can say.

P.S. Thea learned to ride a pedal bike when she was just two years old and would always ask, “Daddy, can I go out on the road?” This ride feels like a very fitting tribute to her. 💙

P.P.S. Between Ryan, Alex, John, Dave and Andy, we bring a healthy mix of cycling and general athletic ability — ranging from “anti-cyclist” to "hobby rider"… all the way through to an ex-British Olympian runner.

Thanks

Ryan
