Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

On September 13th 2026, the three of us will be running The Great North Run, a (hilly!) half marathon around Newcastle Upon Tyne in the north of England.

Why...?

In January 2025, our father died due to Parkinson's.

He did not lose a 'battle' as that would imply he had a chance to win - but he did put up a bloody good fight over the years.

Seemingly, he was one of the 'lucky' ones who did not have tremors and retained most of his cognitive function throughout - it was still heartbreaking to watch.

The Scottish rugby player, Doddy Wier, once said that "...MND isn't incurable, it's just underfunded.". I hope he won't mind our borrowing his quote as suspect this is also true of Parkinson's.

So, if Paul, or one of us has touched your life over the years, or you know someone who has suffered with Parkinson's and want to support, please click on the link below.

Thank you
