In spring of this year, we decided that we needed to do something different in 2022. Keen to spend quality time with friends doing something wholesome, as well as creating some focus and purpose, we decided to get involved in Trailwalker.

Chatty, Webbo and Llama know the pain of the Trailwalker Challenge having done it many years ago. Llama has sensibly volunteered to be support our support crew leaving the other two to suffer again! We are all a bit older, not necessarily wiser (apart from Llama clearly) but we are all keen to raise some money for two great charities.

So here we are 6 months later, with only a month to go and we are just setting up our JustGiving page! However, we have completed 5 practise walks and are full of nervous excitement for the big day. The walks we have done together have given us some quality time to re-connect as a friendship group and allowed us to disconnect from the busyness of everyday life as middle-aged men!

You may be wondering why solvitur ambulando ? Solvitur ambulando is Latin for "it is solved by walking" and is applied to the practical resolutions of problems. For us, it means an opportunity to walk, talk, debate, ask advice, to give advice, and hopefully by the time we have finished the problem is resolved or we are just too tired to care anymore.
