50% of us will experience cancer at some point in our lives and, though treatment has made incredible strides, the sad reality is that it still claims numerous lives every year.

St Wilfrid's, whether through direct work as a hospice itself, or through its work in the community, provides an invaluable level of support for those in need. Their care with Dan exceeded expectations, they not only helped Dan to see out his last few days, relaxed and pain free, but supported his family throughout the final days of his life and beyond.

They were so kind, compassionate and understanding. Their care and support also extended beyond his stay there with counselling, funeral planning and financial advice if wanted.

Before Dan went in, his family were daunted by the word 'hospice' and what it implied, but words can't describe the kindness, dignity and help they provided as Dan and his family faced his passing.
