Raising money for The East Lancashire Hospice and Teenage Cancer Trust

Story

The Holiday Shop Blackburn’s 20th Anniversary Fundraiser

This year, The Holiday Shop Blackburn is celebrating 20 years in business. To mark this special milestone, we are bringing our customers, friends and local community together for a Charity Fundraising Evening on 14 November 2026 at Blackburn Rovers Football Club.

Our evening will support two charities that mean a great deal to us: Teenage Cancer Trust and East Lancashire Hospice.

In memory of Brandon

Our support for Teenage Cancer Trust is deeply personal. We are fundraising in loving memory of Brandon Langford, the much-loved brother of our team member, Toni.

Brandon was loving, caring, funny and full of life. He loved football and was a huge Liverpool supporter. In 2020, Brandon was diagnosed with glioblastoma and faced chemotherapy, radiotherapy and a clinical trial with incredible courage.

Sadly, the treatments stopped working. Brandon passed away peacefully on 25 April 2022, just weeks before his nineteenth birthday, surrounded by his family.

Teenage Cancer Trust provided invaluable care and support to Brandon and his family during the most frightening and heartbreaking period of their lives. Their kindness helped them feel less alone, and it has never been forgotten.

We are fundraising in Brandon’s memory so Teenage Cancer Trust can continue being there for other young people and families facing cancer.

Supporting a charity chosen by our community

East Lancashire Hospice was selected with the help of the people who have supported The Holiday Shop Blackburn throughout the past 20 years.

We asked our Facebook followers and local community to help us choose a local charity, and East Lancashire Hospice was the charity they chose.

The hospice has touched the lives of so many families across our area, providing compassionate care, comfort and support during incredibly difficult times. It is a vital part of our community, and we are proud to support its work as part of our anniversary celebrations.

One evening, two important causes

Approximately 120 guests will join us for an evening featuring a celebrity memorabilia auction, raffle prizes and other fundraising activities.

With the support of our customers, local businesses and more than 22,000 Facebook followers, we hope to make our 20th anniversary about more than looking back at the past. We want to use it to give something meaningful back.

This Team Page brings both fundraising pages together in one place. You can choose to donate to Teenage Cancer Trust in Brandon’s memory, or to East Lancashire Hospice in support of our local community.

Whichever charity you choose, every donation will help make a difference.

Thank you for supporting our anniversary fundraiser, for helping us remember Brandon, and for helping two incredible charities continue their vital work.
