Yogathon in aid of The Eve Appeal – Sat 27th March 2021
BOOK YOUR PLACE NOW!
Yogathon is a fundraising event for The Eve Appeal, and remembering one of the members of our yoga group, Gill Kellard.
Gill enjoyed yoga and regularly attended classes, and so it seems fitting to use the power and positivity of yoga to celebrate her life, and at the same time support The Eve Appeal, which raises awareness and funds for gynaecological cancers.
Yogathon offers you a variety of 7 amazing yoga and Pilates classes to choose from, detailed at the bottom of this page. All the classes are delivered by experienced teachers.
In these challenging times, it has never been more important to look after your physical, mental and spiritual health. Yoga gives the gift of vitality, wellness and peace of mind. It can strengthen, lengthen, tone and increase flexibility and fitness. It also encourages you to slow down and create mindfulness, having a long-lasting and profound effect.
Yoga and Pilates is for everyone regardless of age, body type or fitness level. We have created 7 separate sessions, so read through the descriptions to find the class or classes that suit you. When you have chosen a class and made a donation, you will receive an email containing a Zoom link to the class on 27th March.
If you are not sure which class to attend, please feel free to contact Punam Kharbanda who will be happy to answer any questions at teamyogals@gmail.com.
We recommend a donation of £10 per class, but would welcome more if you can afford it. Why not ask for friends and family to sponsor you to attend several sessions or the whole day?!
Class Requirements
A mat is required for all classes. However, you could use a non-slip towel or blanket if you do not have a mat.
A block would be useful for some of the classes if you have one, but please have a cushion or blanket handy instead.
If you have booked onto the Stretch Yoga class from 12.00 to 1.00 pm, you will need to bring a belt. Any kind of belt will do.
Wear loose and comfortable clothing and please bring water.
Some asanas (postures) and breathing techniques will not be suitable for particular medical conditions and injuries. If you experience any pain or discomfort during your session, please stop immediately and only do what feels right for you. All our teachers are experienced and will guide you, but please also listen to your own body. If you are in any doubt, please contact us before your class and we will be happy to advise.
We hope you enjoy your session/s and look forward to welcoming you.
