Our Story
We are all recent starters on the Civil Service Fast Stream graduate scheme. As part of our scheme we are actively encouraged to get out and do some fundraising to support a cause important to us. As such, we got together and decided that we would support the mental health charity MIND.
Cause
It goes without saying that mental health is a big issue in our society. About a quarter of the population will experience some kind of mental health problem in the course of a year.
Mental health issues take many forms, with mixed anxiety and depression being the most common mental disorder in Britain.
Charities like MIND do great work in supporting people achieve as a state of mental wellbeing and its a cause which everyone can get behind.
Plan
We plan to hold a number of exciting fundraising activities over the coming months. These include an "Oxjam" style music event, a "Come take me out" and even a World Record attempt! We will also be getting involved in some individual sponsorship activities.
Goal
MIND is a great charity and a great cause to contribute to. We have decided to aim big and hope to raise 10,000 pounds in the 5 months, so any donation would be greatly appreciated and will go a long way!
