**** Fund Raising, Helping, Supporting & Publicising etc for the superb British Heart Foundation Charity ***
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in support of the British Heart Foundation.
My story -
I had always been a healthy sport loving lad until in October 2009 I had a serious undiagnosed illness that led to a 3 week stay at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
A big part of the treatment was to treat my heart & blood pressure - I will forevever be grateful to the British Heart Foundation as with the funds they raise I was able to get the superb treatment I received to get me back to good health as soon as possible
When the opportunity became available for me to be able to support a Santa Jog in aid of the British Heart Foundation at Prospect Park in Reading in December 2010 my Sunday football team got right behind the event & helped Rob Cox (BHF - Event Organiser) with the publicity & marketing of the event & 20+ team members joined the jog on the day -

I was so pleased that I was able to help to start to pay back the British Heart Foundation for how they had helped me.
Rob Cox was very grateful of the help & support we gave & we in turn all enjoyed this succesful & fun event - I will do all I can to help & support this event in the future.
I have kept in touch with Rob & when he called to say he was organising the London to Reading Bike Ride on Sunday 25/03/2012 I was more than delighted to help & support in any way that I could.
I set up this JustGiving page in support of the British Heart Foundation on 08/02/2012 that will always be a reminder to me of how this charity helped me when I was 11 years old & hopefully over future months / years I will be able to use & contribute to pay back a great charity.
More info to follow in the future.

Last event - London to Reading Bike Ride - Sunday 25/03/2012
Rob & his team set up another great event that was enjoyed by many hundreds of entrants & supporters on the day.
I was very happy & proud to help Rob & his team with some publicity leading up to this event & would like to congratulate all at the British Heart Foundation for making this another very successful annual event in my home town of Reading.
My contribution to the British Heart Foundation with this event was to help Rob with anything required before & after as well as trying to get as many entries as possible.
If you could help support this charity in any way Rob would always welcome your call -

How did I get involved with fund raising / supporting charity events -
When I recovered & felt a bit better from my illness in December 2009 I set up a JustGiving page in support of the Ronald McDonald House Charity in Oxford with the aim of raising £1,000 as a thank you to them for the support that helped my family to be close to me when I needed them most during my treatment at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford - Please see the following link for details -

As you can see I cannot believe the generosity of friends, relatives etc that have helped me raise more than £15,000 over the last couple of years.
In 2011 I was very proud to have been awarded a Diana Award
Please see the following link for details about the Diana Award -
I have been very lucky to attend many Diana Award events with the highlight being on 11/11/2011 when I was Chief Executive!!! for the day -

I have also just set up a JustGiving page in support of the Diana Award that in future months & years I aim to be able to contribute to -

I have been so lucky along the way to meet some great people who have helped & supported my efforts & I will forever be grateful - Thank you.
Although I have been lucky enough to raise a lot more than I ever dreamt of raising I am now looking for future fun & enjoyable fund raising events to be involved with in 2012/13 - If you have any ideas or suggestions or would like to contact me please e-mail me at the address shown below or please call my Dad on 07958 444323.
