Ryan and 3 friends are raising money for Macmillans Cancer Care and The Manchester Royal Infirmary Intensive Care Unit (http://www.justgiving.com/mri-longestdaygolf). To raise money they are taking part in the Macmillans Longest Day Golf Challenge 2010.

This is sadly a charity which has a personal connection to the boys, Ryan's sister-in-law Margalit sadly lost her Mother to cancer as she was diagnosed with a brain tumor shortly before her wedding day in August 2009 and Andrea lost her fight against the illness on March 2nd 2010. Macmillan's provided support for Andrea during her trying time and with your support they can continue to do so for many people in future who are unfortunate to get such an illness.

The Challenge

To raise money for the Macmillan Cancer Care as well as the MRI ICU, Ryan and 3 friends (Jonny J, Stu Goldwater and Darren Loofe) have enterted the Macmillan Longest Day Golf Challenge 2010, which consists of 4 rounds of Golf in one day!! Four rounds is the equivalent of walking approximately 20 miles or 35200 yards. On average they will be hitting 320 shots with 320 practice swings, more shots for certain members of the group! They will be doing this at Dunham Forest.
