Well we have finished and it took us a mere 10 days. I say mere, there were quite a few painful hills. We are glad that we have done it and in the same breath we are glad it is over (or rather our backsides are glad!). 1100 Miles, 11(ish) Days, 2 blokes in lycra!!!
Gaz and I made the decision in September 2007 to carry out the most famous long distance cycle ride in the UK - John O'Groats to Lands End.
We have decided to carry out this venture in aid of 4 charities; Meningitis Trust, British Limbless Ex-Service Men's Association (BLESMA), Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (GOSHCC) and the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF).
The reason for choosing The Meningitis Trust as one of our charities is Gaz has recently recovered from Encephalitis and as such is keen to give something back so they can continue their work. The Meningitis Trust is also a local charity to us in Bristol and we are keen to support local charities.
