Momentum is the NI ICT Federation - we represent over 150 member companies who in turn employ over 13,000 staff within Northern Ireland. In general, the ICT sector is characterised by security of employment, above average incomes and access to many resources. 

Not all of the world is as fortunate.

In 2008, we are planning to take a team of senior executives from within the industry to get them involved in a place where access to resources is more limited. Participants are: Mike Mullan, Richard Gardiner, Bill Surgin, Terry Moore, Joanne Stuart, Jackie Trainor, Martin Goss, Mark McCusker, Angus Beck, Simon Hunter and myself ... and we are seeking more (if interested contact Momentum directly).

During October, working alongside Habitat for Humanity, we are planning to build a house for a family in Ghana.

Most of the executives involved will use their own resources to cover all personal  costs of the trip - so virtually all funds raised will be used to support project work in Ghana.
