Story
Every step you take in the Wakefield Hospice 10K helps families facing some of life’s toughest moments. For 29 years, this event has brought together runners, teams, and supporters to celebrate community, resilience, and compassion. Last year alone, we raised £136,000, helping Wakefield Hospice provide vital care for patients and their loved ones.
Running for Someone Special
Many runners take part in memory of a loved one, others to challenge themselves or join as a team. Each participant carries a story, a motivation that makes the 10K more than just a race – it’s a tribute to care, love, and hope.
“I ran in memory of my mum. Crossing the finish line knowing every pound raised would help other families was an incredibly moving experience.” – Emma, 2024 participant
The Difference You Make
Your support helps Wakefield Hospice provide essential services: compassionate care, emotional support, and comfort for patients and families during the most difficult times. Every donation, every step, every cheer contributes to a brighter, more supportive future.
