Story
Our Cause
The primary aim of FRVF is to offer innovative interventions to improve mental health and emotional wellbeing in a fast, accessible and safe manner for service users within the Ribble Valley.
In a nutshell, the Foundation for Ribble Valley Families has probably saved my life.
By using a pioneering early intervention process called Fusion therapeutic life coaching we can work on a one to one basis with young people and adults in the community who are suffering from depression, anxiety, low mood and other mental health challenges. Our service is free at the point of delivery to young people and family members.
I will in the future be able to cope with my mental pressures a great deal better and more positively than I have in the past, which must have a good impact not just on myself but also my family.
In 2018 demand for our service increased dramatically, with 138 coaching sessions being delivered in November 2018 compared to 68 in November 2017. We are desperately seeking funding which will allow us to continue to deliver our service, despite the significant upward spike in demand within the area.
My life fell apart. Without FRVF's help my children would not have had their mummy.
Every donation received will contribute to making a life-changing difference to members of the local community who are facing mental health and emotional wellbeing challenges. Here's what our service users say about us:
