We’re bringing Maggie’s much‑loved courtroom‑style fundraiser to Grant Thornton with Lock up the Lawyers. A hilarious, high‑energy event full of mock arrests, tongue‑in‑cheek charges and a lively mock trial, all in support of people living with cancer.

Senior lawyers, clerks and prominent figures from across the legal world will be “arrested” and put on trial, tasked with calling in favours, rallying their networks and raising their bail to secure their freedom. Expect laughter, friendly rivalry and plenty of dramatic moments, all for an incredible cause.

Why we’re fundraising

Finding out you have cancer changes everything. Maggie’s offers free, expert cancer support to people with cancer and their family and friends with no referral, no appointment, just support when it’s needed most. From psychological care and group support to financial advice and help managing the practical impact of cancer, Maggie’s is there when life feels overwhelming.

Demand for this support has never been greater. People with cancer are facing delayed diagnoses, worsening mental health, and increasing financial strain, with 1 in 2 people considering stopping treatment early because of money worries. Funds raised through this event will help ensure Maggie’s can continue to provide vital emotional, practical and financial support to more families who need it.

We’re hoping to raise up to £20,000, helping Maggie’s continue to support hundreds of people every day visiting our 4 Maggie's London centres where more than 300 people come through the doors daily to access life‑changing support.
