London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
Whether it's your first marathon or your tenth, the electrifying atmosphere, complete with lively music zones and enthusiastic crowd support, will propel you to the finish line.
Your participation will not only be a feat of athletic & personal achievement but also of heart & spirit driving critical research and providing essential support for those affected by ataxia.
In 2025, we're aiming to raise £30,000. Whether you run with us or sponsor someone, your involvement is crucial. Together, we can reach our goal and make a significant impact. Visit the event page to support our runners directly by clicking on their names.
Ataxia disrupts balance, coordination, and speech, and affects over 10,500 in the UK. Despite its challenges, there's hope. Ataxia UK, the leading charity in this effort, has invested £7 million in research since 2000, with every £1 leading to £5 in further funding.
Our magazine and e-newsletters are full of advice and information, our website is often the first port of call for those that are newly diagnosed, and our online forums provide much-needed peer support from home. We offer free membership and vital support from the difficult time of first diagnosis through all the challenges people with ataxia face.
Ataxia UK receives no government funding, relying crucially on fundraising efforts from events and challenges by our dedicated supporters and their generous friends, family, and colleagues who sponsor them — like you! Every contribution, no matter how small, moves us closer to our goal.
Join us in our vision to beat ataxia. Participate in the race or sponsor a runner, and help us advance towards a cure. Your support is vital for a future free from ataxia. Together, we can overcome the challenges of this condition.
