Magen David Adom UK is the British fundraising arm supporting Israel's only national emergency medical, disaster, ambulance, and blood bank service. And now a human milk bank, too.
The UK continues to support the operations of MDA in Israel through fundraising events, campaigns, treks and challenges (to name but a few).
Funds raised are used to purchase life-saving medical equipment, buy and maintain ambulance fleets, and support MDA's emergency medical services during times of peace and war. We facilitate these donations to ensure the medics have access to the necessary resources to save more lives.
MDA UK also supports continuous training programmes for personnel in Israel, including youth training initiatives.
Furthermore, during crises or emergencies, MDA UK launches specific fundraising campaigns to support the urgent and immediate needs of MDA in Israel, such as protective gear for the medics who find themselves in dangerous areas whilst trying to save lives.
On a local front, MDA UK raises awareness about MDA's mission and the importance of its services among the British public. By educating people about MDA's work, this encourages support and solidarity for Israel's emergency medical services.
