Help Education Reach the Children Who Need It Most
On the Thai–Myanmar border, thousands of children are growing up displaced by conflict. Many have fled violence. Many have never known stability. For them, education is not guaranteed — it is fragile, under-resourced, and often out of reach.
MEP works with migrant and displaced communities to strengthen teaching and improve access to quality education for children who have already faced enormous disruption in their lives. We don’t just deliver lessons — we invest in teachers. Because when teachers are trained, supported, and mentored, every child in their classroom benefits.
Our mobile teacher trainers travel to remote learning centres, providing practical, hands-on training to local educators. Many of these teachers are working in extremely challenging conditions, often with limited materials and little formal training. MEP supports them with inclusive teaching strategies, lesson planning skills, mentoring, and ongoing professional development — helping them create safe, engaging classrooms where children can learn and thrive.
We also support young people directly, providing English language training and internationally recognised qualifications that improve access to further education and employment. For young people who have grown up with uncertainty, education offers opportunity, confidence, and hope.
The impact is powerful:
- Stronger teachers
- More inclusive classrooms
- Better learning outcomes
Greater opportunities for vulnerable children and youth
But this work depends on support from people like you.
By donating to MEP, you are helping to fund teacher training, mentoring support, and education programmes that reach children who might otherwise be left behind.
Every mile run. Every pound raised. Every donation given.
It all helps ensure that children affected by displacement and conflict are not defined by their circumstances, but empowered by their education.
Thank you for being part of that change.
